Hi Everyone
Today is beautiful, but we have had some showers recently and the dark nights are drawing in. Although too early to mention the C word, we are planning to visit Battle for a Christmas Tree Festival.
Its been a very difficult 18 months but things are slowly returning to normal. Most groups are now running apart from swimming ( we still await Motcombe reopening). However numbers are still low and therefore we are not receiving much income. If you or someone you know, would like to do a fundraising event, please let Carol know. Doesn’t matter how big or small, every penny counts.
Winners of the Cash Draw.
1st Prize £100 Margaret Jordan
2nd prize £30 Molly Phipps
3rd Prize £30 Sue Parsons
4th Prize £30 Clare Szanto
We are raising approx. £2,000 a year for our funds. If you would like to support Memory Lane by joining in the draw, please let me know. It costs £10 a month with half being returned in prizes.
One of our members visited the
allotment for the first time last week. His daughter told us when he got home he was talking non stop about his time there.
“I really enjoyed that”.
It makes it all feel worthwhile when you get feedback like that.
If you fancy a visit, let me know, while the weather is still ok.
Carer's Support Group.
Sue has put the support group on hold at present as no one was attending. She may reopen if she gets any interest. Please let me know if this is something you would like to attend.

In December St Mary’s Church in Battle are holding a Christmas Tree festival . The trees will be decorated in the style of Films. We have decided to take part and decorate one in
“The Snowman” theme.
We will make the decorations at the Meet and Greet club, decorate the tree and also plan to have an outing to see the trees and enjoy some refreshments. The date is 4th December 2-4pm. More details nearer the time.
Will be confirmed nearer the time.
Please let me know if you're interested. Decorations will be made at meet and Greet in November.
Thank you to Lottbridge Golf Club and Hampden Park WI, who have both chosen Memory Lane as their charity of the year.
On 21st September we had our first cinema showing at
The Towner Cinema. 20 attended this first screening.
Unfortunately Towner is closing for works to be completed. But we look forward to restarting as soon as possible.
